Please join us in celebrating Joseph Marina, who was officially recognized today by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners for his extraordinary career and unwavering dedication to our community.

Joseph began his journey with Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative (WREC) in 1978 and rose through the ranks with integrity, leadership, and a deep commitment to service. From engineering roles to district management, Joseph’s impact has been felt across Pasco County for nearly five decades.

His contributions include:

• Championing electrical safety education for local residents

• Advocating for mental health services through Vincent House

• Leading community redevelopment in Lacoochee, Trilby, and Trilacoochee

• Supporting economic growth as a board member of the Pasco Economic Development Council

• Guiding the United Way of Pasco County through times of crisis, including the COVID-19 pandemic

Joseph’s legacy was even honored in the U.S. Congressional Record as a “Hero Among Us” by Congressman Gus Bilirakis.

As he retires, we thank Joseph for his decades of service, leadership, and heart.
